I should also say, that long before I was interested in Lorde and Miley, I really liked the Fifth Dimension. As clotheshounds, but also as conduits who brought us songs by Jimmy Webb and Laura Nyro and Burt Bachrach that touched the masses.
Why does everyone want that one song? Now?
As a little kid of the late 60’s, I knew the Fifth Dimension as much as the next little kid of the late 60’s. Looking at them now, I observe a really odd-looking trio of black dudes. The one girl singer is really hot too. Is she the one who wanted Bill to marry her so badly?
